Out of Network Provider

Kaur Counseling is an “out of network” provider. This means we do not accept any form of insurance. At the end of each month, our therapists provide you with all the necessary documentation needed in order to submit a claim to your insurance provider.

Most insurance companies will reimburse a percentage of the session cost depending on your plan. We encourage you to contact your insurance company to ask about your out-of-network benefits for mental health counseling.

Counseling services are on a self-pay basis.  Payment is expected at the time services are rendered.  Kaur Counseling therapists keep a credit card on file and will charge you at the end of the month unless other arrangements have been made.

We accept all major credit cards, cash and HSA/FSA.

Sessions are held both via HIPPA compliant video platforms and in-person.

*Please see our COVID-19 policy for up to date information

We ask for 24 hours notice if you find you cannot make your appointment.  You will be charged the full session amount for missed sessions and all appointments that are not cancelled prior to the session.

Good Faith Estimate and No Surprises Act

Good-Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good-Faith Estimate” (GFE) explaining how much your medical care will likely cost. This includes related expenses like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. The GFE does not include any unknown or unexpected costs that may arise during the course of treatment. You could experience additional charges based on a change in treatment, complications, and/or if exceptional circumstances occur. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a GFE before you schedule an item or service.

**Services at Kaur Counseling are billed per session. Please, contact your provider to find out what session fees are. Session fees may vary depending on provider.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your GFE, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your GFE. For questions or more information about your right to a GFE, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
